Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee data warehousing or data platform projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehouse architecture, experience with various data tools, and excellent project management skills. This is a contract position located in Austin, TX, requiring local candidates with 5-10 years of experience. Prior experience with Apple is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Proven experience managing data warehousing or data platform projects.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture (Star/Snowflake schema, OLAP vs OLTP).
- Experience with tools like Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, Azure Synapse, or Teradata.
- Proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, dbt, Apache Airflow).
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Solid grasp of SQL and data modeling concepts.
- Expertise in project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Trello, Smartsheet).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Ex-Apple experience is mandatory.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
- Must be a local candidate to Austin, TX.
