Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Consumer Banking) to join our client’s team. This is a hybrid onsite role requiring 3-4 days per week in the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer banking and a proven track record of managing complex projects within large financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage projects within the consumer banking domain, ensuring successful delivery from initiation to closure.
  • Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective ceremonies to ensure agile methodologies are followed effectively.
  • Proactively identify, address, and resolve roadblocks and interferences that may hinder project progress, ensuring smooth team operations.
  • Facilitate discussions, decision-making processes, and conflict resolution among project team members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and product owners to develop product roadmaps, groom backlogs, and maintain the product backlog.
  • Work with architecture and technical resources to define and implement effective delivery and implementation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage overall project progress, ensuring timely communication of achievements, risks, and necessary mitigation steps to all stakeholders.
  • Navigate and manage ambiguous situations with multiple moving parts, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure compliance with budgeting, forecasting, and risk and issues management protocols.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Present project updates and findings clearly and concisely to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of recent, relevant experience working with large banks.
  • Must possess strong domain expertise in Consumer Banking.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and risk/issues management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in presentation skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile methodologies, including scrum ceremonies.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguous situations and complex projects.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Whippany, NJ / Wilmington, DE
  • Employment Type: Contract (12+ Months)
  • Work Schedule: Hybrid Onsite (3-4 days in office per week)
  • Interview Process: F2F Interview Highly Preferred
  • Candidate Requirements: Local candidates or candidates from adjacent states are preferred.

Compensation:

The expected pay range for this role is $65.00 – $70.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and interview evaluation.
