Role Overview: Project Manager – GeoAnalytics

Global IT Family is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager specializing in GeoAnalytics to lead critical IT initiatives in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. This role is pivotal in managing and coordinating the activities of both internal and external staff involved in a diverse portfolio of IT projects. The successful candidate will navigate varying levels of complexity, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with the PTC PMO Playbook standards. This position requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between technical execution and business objectives, particularly within the transportation and geospatial data sectors.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Perform comprehensive project management duties through the entire lifecycle, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing. You will be responsible for the health and trajectory of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Artifact Development: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk registers, communication plans, and other essential artifacts as required by PTC or established project management methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between business owners, technical analysts, and project sponsors to define and refine project scope, ensuring all requirements are captured and validated.

Given the focus on GeoAnalytics, candidates should be comfortable managing projects that involve complex spatial data sets and geographic information systems (GIS).

Professional Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years of dedicated expertise in project management, with a proven track record of managing projects of various sizes and subject matters.
  • Demonstrated experience in integration, scope, schedule, cost, and risk planning.
  • Strong background in following PMO established standards and procedures (Playbook adherence).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • PMP Certification is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage.
