Job Description: Project Manager – Capital Markets/Front Office
We are seeking a senior Project Manager with extensive experience in Capital Markets, specifically leading Front and Middle office projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking and capital market activities, with a keen focus on process and risk awareness. This role requires a combination of in-office and remote work, with regular physical presence in the office being essential.

- Location: Jersey City, NJ (3 days onsite/week) – Locals only/DL
- Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire
- Visa: All Independent visas (No OPT)

- Requirement Notes:
- Senior (10+ years) Capital Markets Project Manager.
- Extensive experience leading Front and Middle office projects.
- Expertise in Front Office and Operations (functional or in a project capacity).
- Knowledge of Banking and Capital Market activities.
- Keen focus on Process and Risk awareness is a KEY CRITERIA.
- Deep knowledge of and experience executing all project management concepts.
- This is a true Capital Markets PM role supporting Trading Applications and Projects.
- Candidates MUST have RECENT TRADING/FRONT OFFICE EXPERIENCE to be considered.

- Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Manage and lead assigned projects to completion.
- Ensure adherence to Group Policies and Procedures, including proper Project Governance and reporting.
- Create and lead appropriate project governance.
- Identify and stabilize the scope of business topics.
- Secure resource plan and prioritization/funding.
- Leverage expertise and problem-solving skills to propose solutions.
- Drive delivery efforts by maintaining project lists, organizing meetings, and distributing minutes.
- Identify risks and dependencies.
- Ensure clear communication of goals, budget, risks, and progress.
- Work closely with Front office, Operations, Finance, IT, Compliance, Legal, Risk, etc.
- Manage conflict and constraints.
- Business Analysis:
- Elicit business requirements.
- Document requirements, business process descriptions, use cases, and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information and reconcile conflicts.
- Abstract low-level information to a general understanding.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate to deliver Business Requirements Documents and Test & Use Cases.
- Challenge business users on assumptions and implementation of requirements.
- Contribute to the building of maximum efficiency within the Firm:
- Analyze current procedures and propose changes to improve productivity, efficiency, and risk control.
- Work with Operations and IT managers to measure the impact of new systems/processes and determine staffing requirements.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of new systems by collaborating with users and IT to ensure system functionalities meet requirements.
- Propose procedural changes to take advantage of new system functionalities.
- Facilitate planning between IT and users to ensure project phases are on track and appropriate testing is conducted.
- Project Management:
- Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Expertise in Front Office and Operations (functional or project capacity) with knowledge of Banking and Capital Markets activities.
- Keen focus on Process and Risk awareness.
- Deep knowledge of and experience executing all project management concepts.
- Project planning, documentation, and stakeholder management essential.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Business Analyst experience is valuable.
- In-depth understanding of project life cycle.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills (written and oral).
- Ability to professionally and efficiently manage conflict.
- Ability to adapt and learn new processes quickly.
- Ability to multi-task and shift gears for various topics.
- Ability to delve into complicated situations, sort information, and propose solutions.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
