Project Manager – Retirement Domain

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead the CDM DORIS Retirement project. This role is critical for ensuring that our retirement services infrastructure meets the highest standards of governance and operational efficiency. The retirement domain is a complex and highly regulated field, and the CDM DORIS project is a critical initiative for our organization. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that this project is delivered to the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will need to have a deep understanding of the retirement industry and the regulatory environment in which we operate. This role requires a high level of strategic thinking and the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders. You will be expected to provide leadership and direction to the project team, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the project’s goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for managing the project’s budget and resources, ensuring that we are using our assets effectively and efficiently. This is a high-visibility role that offers the opportunity to work with senior leadership and make a significant contribution to the organization’s success.

Core Responsibilities

  • Project Governance: Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks to ensure all project activities comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align project priorities with broader business objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential project issues, maintaining a comprehensive risk register and contingency plans.
  • Communication: Foster a culture of transparency and accountability through effective communication strategies across all levels of the organization.

As a Project Manager, your primary focus will be on the establishment and maintenance of a robust project governance framework. This is not just about following rules; it is about creating a structure that ensures quality, compliance, and efficiency. You will work with senior leadership to define project success criteria and ensure that every milestone achieved brings the organization closer to its strategic goals. Risk management is a significant part of this role. In the retirement domain, the stakes are high. You will be responsible for identifying potential risks—whether they are technical, regulatory, or resource-related—and developing mitigation strategies that protect the project’s timeline and budget. This requires a proactive mindset and the ability to anticipate challenges before they become issues. You will lead a cross-functional team of developers, business analysts, and subject matter experts. Your role is to facilitate collaboration and ensure that everyone is moving in the same direction. Using Jira, you will manage the project backlog, track progress through sprints, and provide transparent reporting to all stakeholders. You will lead steering committee meetings, providing executive-level updates that highlight achievements and address any roadblocks. Communication is the glue that holds this project together. You will be the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are managed and that everyone is informed of the project’s status. This includes managing relationships with external vendors and ensuring that their deliverables meet our quality standards. Beyond the technical aspects of project management, you will also be a mentor to junior project managers and team members. You will advocate for industry best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement. By applying your expertise in project governance and the retirement domain, you will ensure that the CDM DORIS project is a success and sets a new benchmark for project delivery within the organization.
