Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a long-term remote engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects within state motor vehicle agencies and a proven track record of successful contract lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with agency goals and objectives.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts, from execution to expiration, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across state agencies to gather requirements, define project scope, and manage expectations.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to PMP or Scrum Master methodologies as applicable.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project management processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least seven (7) FTE years of experience working with a state motor vehicle agency.
- Valid PMP or Scrum Master Certification (SCM).
- At least five (5) FTE years of experience working with a California state agency.
- At least ten (10) FTE years of experience managing and/or working on a contract across its full lifecycle, from execution to expiration.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices.
Employment Type
This is a long-term contract position, offered on a W2 basis.

This is a fully remote position.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
