Position Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Project Manager specializing in Water and Wastewater infrastructure to join our engineering team in Fort Myers, FL. This onsite role involves leading the design and management of critical civil engineering projects, including stormwater management, water distribution, and sewer systems. The successful candidate will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial site development and grading to final permitting and construction oversight. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee the design of stormwater, water, sewer, and drainage systems for civil engineering land/site development projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure improvements.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop detailed engineering plans, profiles, and specifications.
- Lead hydraulics and hydrological modeling tasks to support drainage and water system designs.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to navigate land use processes and obtain necessary permits.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, cost estimates, and project proposals.
- Ensure all designs meet local, county, and state land use regulations and environmental standards.
- Facilitate effective communication between the design team, reviewers, and clients to resolve technical issues promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is strictly required for this position.
- 4 to 16 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proven expertise in stormwater, water, sewer, drainage, hydraulics, and hydrological design.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Extensive experience with residential or commercial land/site development projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Florida’s local, county, and state land use processes and environmental regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and technical reporting.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $165,000 per year (Estimated)
