Role Overview: Senior Project Manager & Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile professional to fill the dual role of Project Manager and Business Analyst for our enterprise-level initiatives in Austin, TX, and Sunnyvale, CA. This position requires a unique blend of strategic leadership and deep analytical capabilities, specifically tailored for candidates with 10 to 12 years of experience in the IT and software domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project success from inception through delivery, ensuring that business requirements are not only met but optimized for maximum value.

Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business departments and technical groups, identifying key stakeholders and maintaining transparent communication channels to influence strategic decisions.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Gather and analyze complex business data, including KPIs and financial reports, using advanced data analytics tools to provide actionable insights.
  • Process Optimization: Assess current business processes and implement modeling techniques to identify areas for improvement, ensuring operational efficiency across cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation for all project phases, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and operational protocols.
  • SQL Proficiency: Utilize solid experience in writing SQL queries to extract and validate data, supporting the technical development team in solution delivery.
  • Project Governance: Lead multi-vendor teams independently, managing project plans, timelines, and critical milestones while adhering to strict governance and budget constraints.

Technical Environment and Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in IT systems and software applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with industry-standard technology systems for data gathering is essential. You will be expected to own and develop relationships with partners, optimizing integrations and constantly seeking ways to improve monitoring and customer value delivery. The role demands an aggressive and dynamic approach to leadership, with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines simultaneously while maintaining professional discretion with sensitive information.

Candidate Expectations

Candidates must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in technical writing. The ability to build prototypes based on gathered requirements and support applications in production is a core requirement. We are looking for a leader who can facilitate team meetings, coordinate resource allocation, and ensure accountability at both the individual and team levels. This is an onsite position requiring a physical presence in either our Texas or California hubs to foster direct collaboration with business managers and developers.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
