Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Proofpoint Security Engineer to join our team. This role requires hands-on expertise with the Proofpoint platform, focusing on its advanced capabilities such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Exact Data Matching (EDM), and Indexed Data Matching (IDM). The engineer will be responsible for developing and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and reports, as well as operationalizing the platform through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), incident triage, and remediation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Proofpoint security solutions.
- Develop, implement, and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and reports to safeguard sensitive information.
- Operationalize the Proofpoint platform by creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform incident triage, investigation, and remediation for security events related to email security.
- Support the development lifecycle for new use cases and security requirements.
- Contribute to project delivery and implementation of Proofpoint-related initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective security posture and incident response.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on Proofpoint capabilities and best practices.
- Monitor system performance and security logs for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and Proofpoint platform updates.
Must-Have Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience with the Proofpoint Platform.
- Expertise in Proofpoint capabilities including OCR (Optical Character Recognition), EDM (Exact Data Matching), and IDM (Indexed Data Matching).
- Strong experience in policy development and report creation within security platforms.
- Proficiency in incident management and email security best practices.
Nice to Have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in enterprise security environments.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Security, specifically in Email Security and with the Proofpoint platform.
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in Incident Management is preferred.
Location and Employment Type:
- This is a Contract role based in Boston, MA.
- The duration is specified as 6 Months.
