Role Overview
Arbortek Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Palm Beach, Florida. This role is critical for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and sophisticated data solutions that power our core business logic. As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept and architectural design to deployment and ongoing maintenance. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code while staying abreast of the latest trends in the Python ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code for high-performance applications.
- Build and optimize backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices using modern Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and data scientists, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Develop and optimize complex database queries and data pipelines to ensure high availability and performance.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services into the application ecosystem.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve stability and user experience.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions.
- Participate in rigorous code reviews and adhere to industry best practices for software development.
- Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Document technical specifications, architectural designs, and API endpoints for internal and external use.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python programming with a deep understanding of its core concepts and libraries.
- Extensive experience with web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture.
- Proven experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Proficiency with version control systems, specifically Git.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including serverless and containerized deployments.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and profiling Python applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React or Angular is a plus.
- Background in data engineering or machine learning integration.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
