Job ID: JOB_ID_1590
Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with a minimum of 12 years of professional experience to join our engineering team in Atlanta, GA. This is a high-impact role requiring a deep mastery of Python and the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem. In 2026, our focus has shifted toward highly resilient, serverless architectures and event-driven microservices. The ideal candidate will not only be a prolific coder but also a cloud architect capable of designing systems that handle millions of concurrent requests with minimal latency. This position requires a local presence in Atlanta for face-to-face collaboration and final-stage interviews.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Python-based backend applications using modern frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Architect and manage cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and SQS/SNS for event-driven communication.
- Build and maintain robust data processing pipelines using Python, integrating with AWS S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate environment provisioning.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to refine CI/CD pipelines, ensuring rapid and secure deployment cycles.
- Monitor application health and performance using AWS CloudWatch and X-Ray, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Lead technical design sessions and participate in rigorous code reviews to maintain high software quality.
- Ensure all cloud resources adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework, focusing on security, reliability, and cost optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
Candidates must have at least 12 years of experience in software engineering, with a significant portion dedicated to Python (3.x) and AWS. We require expert-level knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and functional programming paradigms in Python. Deep hands-on experience with AWS core services—including EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, and VPC networking—is mandatory. You should be comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment and have a strong grasp of SQL and NoSQL database design. Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and modern Git-based workflows is expected. Given the seniority of this role, we are looking for individuals who can mentor others and provide strategic technical direction.
The Atlanta Tech Landscape
Atlanta has solidified its position as a premier tech hub in the Southeastern United States. Our office provides a vibrant environment where innovation is encouraged. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that power our enterprise services. We emphasize a face-to-face (F2F) interview process to ensure a strong cultural and technical fit within our local team. If you are a seasoned developer who thrives on solving complex cloud challenges, we encourage you to apply.
Special Requirements
F2F (Face-to-Face) interview required; local profiles only; 12+ years of experience is a mandatory requirement.
