Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Python Full Stack Developer to support a high-priority Compliance Project focused on migrating critical data from co-located servers to the cloud. This role requires a developer who is highly attentive to detail and possesses a strong “ownership” mindset—specifically the ability to identify technical roadblocks early and communicate effectively with the team to resolve them. You will be responsible for developing Python scripts, building UI components in TypeScript/React, and leveraging AWS serverless architecture to ensure a seamless and compliant data transition.
Technical Core & Responsibilities:
Cloud Migration & Backend Engineering:
- Data Migration: Architect and execute the transition of legacy data from physical co-located servers to modern AWS cloud environments.
- Serverless Development: Design and implement backend logic using AWS Lambda and DynamoDB.
- Python Scripting: Develop, test, and debug Python scripts to automate data workflows and ensure data integrity during migration.
- API Integration: Leverage Google APIs to enhance application functionality and data connectivity.
Frontend & System Design:
- Full Stack Delivery: Build and maintain responsive web interfaces using TypeScript and/or React.
- Data Visualization: Utilize AWS QuickSight to create dashboards and reporting tools for compliance monitoring.
- System Architecture: Contribute to high-level System Design discussions to ensure the new cloud infrastructure is scalable, secure, and meets regulatory standards.
Compliance & Communication:
- Detail Orientation: Maintain rigorous standards for data accuracy and security as required by the compliance nature of the project.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identify and escalate technical “glitches” or unknowns immediately; must be comfortable asking for assistance to ensure project timelines are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Python Expert: Strong hands-on experience in Python programming, testing, and debugging.
- AWS Suite: Proven experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, and QuickSight.
- Frontend Stack: Proficiency in TypeScript and/or React.
- Integrations: Experience working with Google APIs.
- Background: 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on system design.
- Communication: Elite verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Experience:
- Industry: Previous experience working within Capital One environments is highly preferred.
- OS/Systems: Experience with SFS / Windows development is a significant plus.
- Financial Services: Familiarity with financial compliance and data sovereignty regulations.
Special Requirements
H4EAD, TN Candidates. Hybrid (3 days onsite per week). Locations: New York City, NY (Primary), Plano, TX | Richmond, VA | McLean, VA. Previous experience within Capital One environments is highly preferred. Experience with SFS / Windows development is a significant plus. Familiarity with financial compliance and data sovereignty regulations.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
