Job Description: Python Full Stack Developer (Contract)
We are seeking a highly experienced Python Full Stack Developer for a contract position with one of our major clients. This role requires a minimum of 10+ years of total IT experience, with at least 5 years focused on full-stack development. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, the ability to work with large datasets, and a proven track record of exploring and proposing solutions in unfamiliar areas. The position is based in Dallas, TX, with potential for work in Hartford, CT, or Woonsocket, RI, and requires onsite presence from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop user interface (UI) screens using React, effectively handling large volumes of data displayed on web pages sourced from OLAP data stores in the backend.
- Build robust APIs using Python frameworks, preferably FastAPI, and seamlessly integrate them with React-based front-end applications.
- Design and implement comprehensive deployment strategies, including the capability to host multiple applications on a single platform.
- Develop and manage critical authentication and authorization modules to ensure secure access.
- Apply containerization tools and best practices, including the creation and management of Docker containers for efficient deployment and scaling.
- Proactively explore unfamiliar technical areas, conduct thorough research, and propose innovative and effective technical solutions to complex problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Technical & Functional Skills Required:
- Frontend: React
- Backend: Python API development (FastAPI preferred), Flask
- DevOps/Infrastructure: Docker, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Experience with authentication and authorization modules.
- Strong ability to explore unknown areas and propose effective technical solutions.
Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years of Total IT Experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant full stack development experience.
