Senior Python Programmer with AI Expertise – Atlanta, GA
We are looking for a veteran Python Programmer with a deep specialization in Artificial Intelligence to join our onsite team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a high-level individual contributor role requiring a minimum of 10-12 years of overall software engineering experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing sophisticated AI-driven backend systems and frameworks that power our enterprise-level applications. This is a 6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
Core Technical Requirements
- Expert Python Programming: Mastery of Python is non-negotiable. You must have extensive experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), type hinting, and asynchronous programming patterns to build robust and maintainable codebases.
- API Development: Proficiency in building high-performance APIs using modern frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Testing Excellence: A disciplined approach to software quality, with deep knowledge of the PY-test framework for comprehensive unit and integration testing.
- Cloud and DevOps: Basic to intermediate knowledge of cloud environments, specifically Azure. You should be familiar with serverless compute, HTTP traffic management, and CI/CD concepts.
- Version Control: Expert familiarity with Git and GitHub branching strategies in a collaborative team environment.
Advanced AI and Data Skills (Nice to Have)
- AI Frameworks: Experience developing frameworks with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, and the OpenAI API.
- Deep Learning: A solid understanding of neural networks, CNNs, RNNs, transformers, and attention mechanisms.
- Azure Ecosystem: Hands-on experience with Azure resource groups, container apps, vnet configuration, logging, and Cosmos DB.
- Database Management: Strong SQL query writing skills across platforms like SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Security: A firm grasp of API security protocols, including AuthN/AuthZ and OpenID/OAuth2 flows.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $200,000 per year (Estimated)
