Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Programmer with a specialized focus on Artificial Intelligence to join our dynamic engineering team in Atlanta, GA. This is an onsite position requiring a professional with a minimum of 10 to 12 years of comprehensive software development experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing robust AI-driven solutions, leveraging modern Python frameworks and cloud-native technologies to solve complex business challenges.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, scalable Python applications utilizing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and asynchronous programming patterns.
- Build and maintain sophisticated API layers using FastAPI or Flask, ensuring high availability and low latency for AI model consumption.
- Implement rigorous unit testing and integration testing suites using the Py-test framework to maintain code quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into production environments, managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Utilize Git for version control, managing complex branching strategies and code reviews within a collaborative team environment.
- Deploy and manage serverless compute resources and handle HTTP traffic configurations within cloud environments.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment of AI services and microservices.
Technical Requirements
- 10-12 years of professional software engineering experience with a heavy emphasis on Python.
- Expertise in Python 3.x, including type hinting, async/await, and advanced OOP concepts.
- Proven track record of developing production-grade APIs with FastAPI or Flask.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, specifically serverless architectures and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face Transformers is highly desirable.
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and orchestration tools like LangChain or OpenAI APIs.
- Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and retrieval across Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle databases.
- Knowledge of API security protocols including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
