Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 5-8 years of overall QA experience, specializing in Selenium and Java, with strong SQL knowledge. The role requires 3-6 years of hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing. The candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and validation scripts, performing functional, integration, and API testing. A core part of the role involves testing REST APIs and web services, validating responses using JSON, and performing backend validation using MS SQL (queries, data verification). The engineer will also utilize Python for test automation/scripting and leverage tools like GitHub Copilot / Cursor AI for productivity. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines for integration testing and using Git-based systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) is essential. Exposure to NoSQL and Java-based web services, along with a strong understanding of test data creation and database validation, is also required.
Core Expertise:
- Strong in API / Web Services Testing (REST, JSON validation).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments.
- Proficient in test case design, execution, and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and validation scripts. Perform functional, integration, and API testing.
- API & Data Validation: Test REST APIs and web services. Validate responses using JSON. Perform backend validation using MS SQL (queries, data verification).
- Automation & Tools: Use Python for test automation/scripting. Leverage tools like GitHub Copilot / Cursor AI for productivity.
- CI/CD & Version Control: Work with CI/CD pipelines for integration testing. Use Git-based systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
Additional Skills:
- Exposure to NoSQL and Java-based web services.
- Strong understanding of test data creation and database validation.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $114,400 – $114,400 per year
