Position Summary
Steneral Consulting is urgently seeking a talented Mid-level QA Engineer for a long-term project based in Blue Bell, PA. This role is designed for a quality assurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, automated testing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of both UI and API components through rigorous automation testing. This is a 7+ month contract opportunity with the potential for extension, focusing on modern software development lifecycles and continuous integration practices.
Core Technical Competencies
- Automation Frameworks: You must have extensive experience building and maintaining Cucumber-TestNG frameworks using Java. This includes proficiency with Selenium for UI automation and RestAssured for comprehensive API testing.
- C# and .NET Ecosystem: In addition to Java, experience with the Nunit framework using C# is highly preferred. Familiarity with NuGet for package management and RestAssured for C#-based API testing is a significant advantage.
- CI/CD and Version Control: Hands-on experience with Bamboo for continuous integration and GitHub for version control is required. You will be expected to integrate automated tests into the build pipeline to ensure rapid and reliable deployments.
- Build Tools: Proficiency with Maven for Java project management and build automation is essential.
Key Responsibilities
As a QA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with developers and product managers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria. Your daily tasks will include writing automated test scripts, executing regression suites, and identifying bottlenecks in the software delivery process. You will be expected to perform deep-dive root cause analysis for defects and work with the engineering team to resolve issues promptly. The role requires a proactive approach to quality, where you are not just finding bugs but preventing them through early involvement in the design phase.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
