Role Description
CloudThink Tech Inc is seeking a dedicated QA Engineer with a passion for blockchain technology to join our growing team. This is a 6-month contract position with a high likelihood of extension, focused on ensuring the quality and security of decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain-integrated systems. As a QA Engineer in the Web3 space, you will be at the forefront of testing innovative technologies that are reshaping the digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test cases for web and mobile-based dApps.
- Test complex smart contract interactions, ensuring transaction flows are accurate and secure across various blockchain networks.
- Validate wallet connections and blockchain network behaviors, ensuring a seamless user experience for crypto-native users.
- Perform rigorous functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to identify vulnerabilities and bugs.
- Validate UI/UX behavior across a wide range of browsers, mobile devices, and hardware/software wallets such as MetaMask and WalletConnect.
- Document and track bugs with high precision, providing reproducible steps and collaborating with developers for rapid resolution.
- Test edge cases specific to blockchain environments, including gas fee fluctuations, transaction failures, network latency, and chain reorganizations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, internal tooling, and technical documentation.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer in a web or mobile environment.
- Strong foundational understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the SDLC.
- Experience testing modern web applications, including REST APIs, frontend interfaces, and backend microservices.
- Familiarity with industry-standard test case management and bug tracking tools like Jira, Linear, or TestRail.
- A solid grasp of core blockchain concepts, including Wallets, Transactions, Smart Contracts, and the differences between Public and Private networks.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining clear and effective communication with the engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Direct experience testing dApps, DeFi protocols, NFT marketplaces, or other crypto-related products.
- Hands-on experience with smart contracts, including the ability to read Solidity code and understand contract logic.
- Proficiency with modern test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate automated testing into the deployment workflow.
- Experience testing security-sensitive systems where financial assets are at stake.
- Familiarity with various blockchain ecosystems such as Ethereum, Polygon, or Solana, including their respective testnet and mainnet environments.

Remote position. Domain restriction: Blockchain/Web3. Mentions 'C2C No' which may indicate a restriction on Corp-to-Corp candidates or a specific payroll requirement.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $93,600 – $115,000 per year
