Position Summary: QA Lead – Salesforce Testing
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to spearhead our Salesforce testing initiatives for a major project in the electric utility domain. Based onsite in San Francisco, CA, this role requires a strategic thinker who can manage complex testing lifecycles while providing technical leadership to a dedicated QA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our Salesforce modules and integrated systems, working closely with stakeholders to deliver robust, high-quality software solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases for Salesforce-based applications.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in testing methodologies.
- Oversee functional, regression, end-to-end (E2E), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across multiple projects.
- Validate APIs, services, and map layers through a combination of manual and automated testing techniques.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform validation to ensure a consistent user experience across all environments.
- Manage the defect lifecycle using tools like JIRA and HP ALM, conducting root cause analysis and defect triaging.
- Coordinate testing activities with internal developers, business analysts, third-party vendors, and offshore teams.
- Provide regular progress reports and quality metrics to project stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with industry regulations and QA best practices.
Technical Skills and Domain Expertise
- Extensive knowledge of Salesforce testing and various Salesforce modules.
- Specific domain experience in the electric or utility industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using JIRA, HP ALM, or Quality Center (QC) for test management and defect tracking.
- Exposure to test automation tools, specifically Tosca, for improving test efficiency and workflow validation.
- Strong understanding of API testing and the validation of complex integrated services.
- Ability to review user requirements and technical design documents to ensure testability.
Qualifications and Professional Attributes
- Proven track record as a QA Lead or Senior Tester in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage in technical discussions with developers and business discussions with clients.
- Strong leadership abilities, capable of managing onsite and offshore resources effectively.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on detail and quality assurance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Project Details
This is a 6+ month contract engagement located onsite in San Francisco. You will be part of a high-impact team dedicated to modernizing utility management systems through Salesforce technology. Compensation & Location
Salary: $140,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
