The QA Manager with Healthcare Experience is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the quality assurance lifecycle of complex healthcare software systems. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end quality assurance process for healthcare-focused applications, ensuring all products align with industry standards and client expectations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies and plans specifically designed for healthcare claims processing and provider management systems.
- Direct the automation testing efforts using Selenium and Java, leveraging over 8 years of hands-on experience to build scalable and robust testing frameworks.
- Oversee API testing initiatives to validate the functionality, performance, and security of critical data exchanges between healthcare modules.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and business analysts, to identify potential risks and define quality benchmarks early in the development cycle.
- Manage the testing of Health Edge’s HRP (Health Rules Payor) platform, utilizing specialized knowledge to ensure accurate data processing and system integration.
- Drive continuous improvement within the QA department by adopting cutting-edge tools and methodologies that enhance testing efficiency and software quality.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous professional development.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with healthcare-specific security protocols and data privacy regulations, such as HIPAA.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, offering actionable insights to drive product improvements and mitigate deployment risks.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a heavy emphasis on Selenium and Java-based automation.
- Extensive experience within the Healthcare domain, particularly in testing applications related to healthcare finance, claims, or provider systems.
- Proven expertise in API testing for functionality, performance, and security using industry-standard tools.
- Preferred experience with Health Edge’s HRP platform, demonstrating an ability to navigate complex healthcare software ecosystems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to understand and test intricate business logic.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of managing remote teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly desirable.
