Role Summary
Vyze Inc is looking for a passionate and driven QA SDET to join a high-impact team supporting manufacturing systems in Fremont, CA. This role is critical for the validation of current and next-generation manufacturing software that powers one of the world’s most innovative companies. As an SDET, you will not just be testing; you will be building the automation frameworks and tools that ensure the reliability of mission-critical applications. This position requires a local candidate who can participate in an intensive onsite technical coding interview and work closely with the engineering team in Fremont. You will be part of the Tesla team, focusing on high-performance automation and quality engineering.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain scalable automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Develop high-quality automation scripts for both UI and API layers, ensuring full coverage of the manufacturing system’s functional requirements.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions to support daily release cycles.
- Collaborate directly with developers in an Agile environment to create automation scripts in parallel with feature development.
- Utilize Python, Go, or Java to build custom testing tools and utilities that enhance the efficiency of the QA process.
- Perform deep-dive data validation using SQL to ensure the accuracy of backend manufacturing databases.
- Conduct performance and load testing using J-Meter to identify system bottlenecks and scalability issues.
- Report detailed testing status, milestones, and defects to project stakeholders, providing actionable insights for product improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in SDET roles with a strong focus on Python and modern automation tools like Playwright.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with web services testing.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and version control systems like Git.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for identifying inconsistencies in complex software systems.
- Ability to work independently against aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment and Expectations
This is a high-visibility role within a major manufacturing ecosystem. Candidates must be local to the Fremont area (within 50 miles) and possess a valid Driver’s License. The interview process is rigorous, featuring a 1.5-hour onsite technical coding challenge. We are looking for individuals who thrive in environments where innovation is the norm and where their contributions directly affect the production of world-class technology. Please note that experience with Government projects or Wells Fargo is specifically not required for this role, as we are looking for a fresh perspective on manufacturing software quality. This is an onsite-heavy role requiring physical presence for testing and collaboration.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
