You will be instrumental in executing enterprise testing strategies and ensuring the quality of critical systems like SAP S/4HANA. The Test Automation CoE is a specialized group focused on driving efficiency and reliability through automated testing solutions across the entire organization. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence the stability of enterprise-scale deployments.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sophisticated automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca (Commander and TBox) to cover complex business scenarios.
- Design, build, and manage comprehensive test plans and automation frameworks tailored for enterprise-level applications, ensuring high reusability.
- Execute automated test cases and perform thorough defect analysis, documenting outcomes and root causes in tracking systems like Jira or ALM.
- Collaborate with QA, development, and infrastructure teams to align testing efforts with project goals and release cycles.
- Mentor junior team members on automation best practices and the effective use of Tosca, fostering a culture of quality.
- Support test data management and the setup of testing environments to ensure consistent and repeatable results.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing protocols and methodologies within the CoE, identifying areas for optimization.
- Generate detailed reports on test execution status, defect density, and resolution trends for stakeholders and leadership.
- Validate database integrity using SQL and ensure seamless integration of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain the enterprise business process hierarchy and ensure that test cases are aligned with business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in QA Test Engineering or Analysis, with a strong focus on automation.
- Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca is highly preferred, along with relevant certifications (AS1, AS2, TDS1, etc.).
- Experience with SAP and SaaS enterprise systems, particularly during large-scale S/4HANA migrations.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as VBScript, JavaScript, or Python to extend automation capabilities.
- Familiarity with other automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG for diverse testing needs.
- Moderate knowledge of Finance, HCM, Logistics, and Treasury business processes to better understand functional requirements.
Strategic Impact and Collaboration
As a member of the CoE, you will not just be writing scripts; you will be shaping the future of quality assurance for the organization. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities that reduce manual effort and increase test coverage. Your ability to interpret functional and technical requirements into actionable automation artifacts is key. We value proactive communicators who can bridge the gap between technical implementation and business needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-stakes projects that are central to the company’s digital strategy.
