About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QA Test Manager 2 to oversee testing processes and ensure the quality of software applications. This role requires a strong background in test management, strategy development, and execution, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Texas State agencies and a proven track record in leading testing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage QA testing activities, including test strategy, test case development, and test execution.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders.
- Implement and manage defect tracking and root cause analysis processes.
- Utilize testing tools such as Jira, Selenium, UFT, and SQL for effective test management.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Oversee performance testing efforts using tools like JMeter or JProfiler.
- Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to QA team members.
- Manage testing timelines and resources to ensure project delivery.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience in QA testing management and UAT coordination.
- Proficiency in developing test strategies, test cases, and managing test execution.
- Strong skills in defect tracking and root cause analysis.
- Experience with testing tools such as Jira, Selenium, UFT, and SQL.
- Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or JProfiler.
- Mandatory State client experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce testing.
- Experience working with Texas State agencies.
- Team leadership or project management experience.
Special Requirements
Onsite in Austin, TX. Local to TX candidates preferred. Interview modes: Phone and Microsoft Teams. Mandatory State client experience. Experience working with Texas State agencies is preferred.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year
