Role Overview
The Senior QA Automation Engineer specializing in Playwright will be a pivotal member of the Quality Engineering team, specifically supporting TD QE portfolios. This role requires a deep technical understanding of modern web automation frameworks and a commitment to delivering high-quality software in an Agile environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end automation lifecycle, from strategy and design to execution and maintenance. This position is strictly local to Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, and requires a valid Driver’s License.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Playwright for complex web applications.
- Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) to ensure continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and QE leads to define comprehensive test strategies and coverage plans.
- Execute functional, regression, and end-to-end testing for intricate workflows, ensuring all business requirements are met.
- Optimize automation frameworks for scalability and reusability across various organizational portfolios.
- Mentor junior QE associates, conducting code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to elevate the team’s technical capabilities.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with security and regulatory standards, particularly within the financial services domain.
- Perform API testing and cross-browser validation to ensure application stability across different environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues quickly to minimize downtime in the development cycle.
Technical Requirements
- Expertise in Playwright for web automation is mandatory.
- Strong programming proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript; familiarity with Python is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Solid understanding of QE principles, Agile methodologies, and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with API testing, cross-browser testing, and performance testing tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Java, Spring, Selenium, and REST API testing is a significant plus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $75 – $95 per year (Estimated)
