Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Analyst with a strong background in testing Java programs to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases. You will perform testing activities for Java programs on distributed platforms, ensuring the quality and correctness of software changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing business requirements and developing detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
  • Performing testing activities for Java programs on distributed platforms.
  • Executing test program changes, updating test files, running tests, and reviewing results.
  • Ensuring the correctness of program changes based on provided requirements.
  • Utilizing Jira for test management and defect tracking.
  • Preparing both program-level and user-level documentation to support the software development lifecycle.
  • Organizing, managing, and providing clear guidance to teams to reach testing goals and meet tight deadlines with candor, transparency, and collaboration.
  • Troubleshooting, testing, and debugging computer software to produce required outcomes.
  • Supporting non-database functions, correcting data errors, and developing data analysis/summary reports.
  • Obtaining user sign-off on all changes prior to moving to production.
  • Following organization guidelines and procedures for checking out source code and migrating changes.
  • Committing to enhancing software for improved efficiency and reduced operating time.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing Java programs.
  • Proven experience with database technologies such as DB2 and Postgres, including executing queries and performing data verification.
  • Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including writing test cases, execution of test cases, integration testing, and deployment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in preparing comprehensive documentation for both program-level and user-level.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capability to follow organization guidelines and procedures.

Good to Have Skills:

  • Java programming knowledge.
  • AWS hands-on experience.
  • Kofax experience.

Additional Information:

  • Previous DOL work experience is preferred.
  • Must be local to Metro Atlanta.
  • Onsite work is required.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Atlanta, GA
