Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Coppell, TX, USA (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Engineer will participate in test planning to determine which test cases to automate and which ones to execute for each project/release. They will manage, day to day, the automation repository, and the CI environment ensuring the test scripts run without error in the target environment with support and direction from QA Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test strategies and planning approaches for manual and automated testing.
  • Map requirements to test cases and analyze complex applications to develop test cases.
  • Create and execute automated test scripts and report on test execution status.
  • Manage the automation repository and CI environment.
  • Write software defect reports.
  • Communicate on technical and non-technical levels.
  • Understand applications from both technical and business perspectives.
  • Make sound decisions based on business, technology, and QA guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leading manual and automation test programs for large complex enterprise applications.
  • 3+ years’ hands-on experience in the design, development, implementation, and execution of automated test scripts.
  • Expertise in Internet technologies, tools, and Internet environments.
  • Experience in project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, MIS or related technical discipline (or a combination of education and experience).
  • Ability to plan, organize and direct automation activities to achieve maximum operational efficiency.
  • Skilled at examination and analysis of typical business workflow scenarios.
  • Ability to read use cases and evaluate business and technical requirements.
  • Strong project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
  • Detail-oriented, deliverable-focused.
  • Possesses an active, ‘hands-on’ style.

Preferred Experience and Capability:

  • Experience/knowledge of Mortgage Servicing and/or prior banking experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.
  • Experience building an automation program is preferred.
  • Experience with working on applications built in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Understanding of SQL DB and ability to run SQL queries.
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies, such as JIRA, Confluence, Crucible, BitBucket (or other Git server), and Jenkins.

Salary: $50 – $70 per year (Estimated)
