Role Overview
GAC Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Redis Administrator to join our team in New York. This role is critical for managing, optimizing, and maintaining our Redis infrastructure, which serves as the backbone for our high-performance distributed caching systems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in managing Redis clusters, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability in complex production environments. As a Redis Admin, you will work at the intersection of database administration and platform engineering, ensuring that our data layer is resilient, secure, and lightning-fast.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Redis server instances, including standalone, clustered, and sentinel setups.
- Develop and manage Redis high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Proactively monitor Redis performance metrics, identifying and resolving issues related to latency, memory usage, and throughput.
- Optimize Redis configuration parameters, including data eviction policies and persistence modes (RDB and AOF).
- Implement robust security measures, including TLS encryption, authentication, and fine-grained access control.
- Execute backup, restore, and data migration operations with precision.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate Redis into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Manage Redis deployments on Kubernetes using Helm charts and Operators.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Redis architecture, including Sentinel and Cluster modes.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
- Deep understanding of caching strategies, memory management, and persistence mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, RedisInsight, and the ELK stack.
- Experience managing Redis in cloud environments, specifically AWS ElastiCache, Azure Cache for Redis, or GCP MemoryStore.
- Familiarity with Redis modules like RediSearch, RedisJSON, and RedisGraph.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps, or Database Administration.
- Experience with automation and scripting for infrastructure management.
- Background in platform engineering or digital transformation projects.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
