Job Summary
Source Code Technologies is seeking a Senior Reliability Test Engineer to work onsite in Lake Forest, California. This role is crucial for enhancing product reliability through design, verification, validation, and compliance activities for new product development. The engineer will leverage engineering tools, simulation, testing, and Design for Excellence (DfX) principles to improve product reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Execution: Plan and execute reliability test strategies according to the reliability plan. Perform HALT, ALT, environmental, transportation, life testing, and PCBA stress testing. Develop automated test scripts and LabView/robotic programs. Provide continuous feedback to design teams for product improvement.
- Lab & External Testing Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external labs for testing activities. Ensure cost-effective and timely execution of tests. Align testing with company Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Design for Reliability: Review product designs for reliability, quality, and compliance. Perform statistical analysis, simulation, tolerancing, and stress testing. Support Design for Reliability (DfR) objectives.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare Reliability Change Request (RCR) reports, Verification & Validation (V&V) documentation, and reliability reports. Ensure compliance with design control, QMS, and GMP processes. Support equipment calibration and lab maintenance. Follow Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and site safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, OR MS Degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Minimum 3 years in R&D with a focus on new product reliability engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical Design Principles.
- Experience in Reliability Engineering & Product Testing.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis methods.
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Quality System Regulation (QSR) regulations (Medical Device Industry preferred).
- Knowledge of Embedded systems, CAN Bus, Ethernet communication.
- Experience with LabView, Python, R, or test automation tools.
- Experience with lab testing, fixturing, robotics, or equipment validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary: $70,000 – $110,000 per year (Estimated)
