Role Overview
The Reltio Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) landscape for a leading biotechnology firm (Amgen). This onsite position in Thousand Oaks, CA, focuses on designing, building, and maintaining Reltio-based solutions. The primary objective is to establish a trusted, compliant, and governed single source of truth for critical data domains, including Healthcare Professionals (HCP), Healthcare Organizations (HCO), Products, Affiliations, and Locations. This role is essential for driving commercial excellence, medical affairs, supply chain optimization, and advanced analytics while adhering to strict GxP and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure complex Reltio data models, including Entities, Relationships, and Reference Data, ensuring alignment with global master data standards.
- Implement and fine-tune Match, Merge, and Survivorship rules specifically for HCP/HCO, Customer, and Product data domains to ensure data integrity.
- Configure advanced data validation rules, stewardship workflows, and governance protocols within the Reltio platform.
- Lead data ingestion efforts, including bulk loads and complex data migrations from legacy MDM systems and various source environments.
- Develop and manage robust Reltio REST APIs and event-based integration patterns to facilitate real-time data exchange.
- Integrate the Reltio platform with key enterprise systems such as Salesforce (Veeva CRM), SAP, AWS, and enterprise data lakes.
- Utilize ETL and iPaaS tools like MuleSoft and Informatica to architect and manage inbound and outbound data flows.
- Ensure comprehensive data quality, lineage, and auditability across all master data domains.
- Maintain strict adherence to GxP, SOX, and data privacy regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production releases, incident resolution, and formal change management processes.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation, validation artifacts, and audit evidence required for regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data governance teams, architects, and analytics groups within an Agile/SAFe delivery framework.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate effectively across offshore/onshore delivery models.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with the Reltio Cloud MDM platform, including configuration and integration.
- Proven track record in Master Data Management (MDM) implementation within the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles.
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML data formats.
- Experience with integration tools such as MuleSoft, Informatica, or similar iPaaS solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and CRM systems like Salesforce/Veeva.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements including GxP, SOX, and data privacy laws (GDPR/HIPAA).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $170,000 – $230,000 per year (Estimated)
