Project Overview
Public Safety is seeking a dedicated and highly experienced Remedy CMDB Developer to provide critical supplemental support for the day-to-day administration and management of its Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This 24-month long-term contract is centered at 2 MTC, Brooklyn, NY, and involves a comprehensive scope of work including Lifecycle Management Services, ADDM discovery, and asset intake. The project is vital for maintaining the integrity of Public Safety’s IT infrastructure and ensuring the success of NextGen related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Evaluate and gather current BMC Remedy/Helix CMDB practices and processes to support both Business-As-Usual (BAU) and NextGen project requirements.
- Review and optimize ITIL process areas, including Incident Management, Service Request Management, Change Management, and Configuration Management.
- Manage and review lifecycle tools such as Discovery, ADDM, Netscout, and SCCM to ensure accurate data population within the CMDB.
- Perform rigorous troubleshooting and auditing of Incident, Release, and Change management processes.
- Identify and document critical Configuration Items (CI) for current and future state architectures.
- Execute the addition, modification, and removal of CIs through automated Remedy workflows.
- Perform reconciliation and validation of CI relationships to maintain a high-fidelity configuration landscape.
- Audit configuration records and dependency information to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Recommend enhancements and potential tool-sets for optimizing lifecycle control procedures.
- Develop and provide comprehensive documentation, including technical workflows and system diagrams.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of specialized experience in BMC Remedy ARS, CMDB, ITSM, SLM, and SRM development.
- Extensive experience in the customization, administration, and support of Remedy environments.
- Proven expertise in Remedy ARS, CMDB, and ITSM installation and configuration, specifically for versions 18.x and higher.
- Demonstrated experience integrating Remedy with external tools such as ADDM, Netcool/ScienceLogic, and Active Directory.
- Proficiency in Remedy Smart Reporting for data visualization and analysis.
Desirable Qualifications
- Official BMC Remedy Certification is highly preferred.
- ITIL Certification (Foundation or higher) is a significant advantage.
- Previous experience working with OTI or Public Safety City agencies in a similar capacity.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
