Role Overview: Senior Angular Developer (13+ Years Experience)
GAC Solutions is seeking an exceptionally skilled and seasoned Senior Angular Developer for a long-term remote contract position. This role is dedicated to supporting a major project for Capgemini and requires a professional with a minimum of 13 years of experience in software development. We are looking for a true Angular specialist; please note that candidates with a primary focus on React will not be considered for this specific requirement.

Core Responsibilities and Technical Focus
- Advanced Feature Development: You will be responsible for developing dynamic and highly responsive user-facing features. This involves writing clean, efficient, and testable code using the latest versions of Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Architectural Collaboration: Working in tandem with the project’s Technical Lead and Architect, you will contribute to the design and implementation of complex software components. You must be able to translate functional requirements and technical designs into working code that adheres to industry best practices.
- API and Data Integration: You will collaborate closely with back-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring a seamless flow of data between the server and the client-side application. Your expertise in managing asynchronous operations and state management will be vital.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: A key part of your role will be ensuring the reliability and quality of the application. You will conduct comprehensive unit and integration tests using frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma, and you will be expected to debug and troubleshoot complex issues within the codebase.
The Critical Role of TypeScript and Modern Tooling
In a large-scale codebase, the type safety and advanced features of TypeScript are indispensable. You will utilize TypeScript to create robust interfaces and classes that reduce runtime errors and improve developer productivity. Furthermore, you will work within a modern development ecosystem, utilizing tools like JIRA for task management, Microsoft Teams for collaboration, and Confluence for documentation. Your ability to navigate and contribute to this ecosystem is essential for the success of the project.
Professional Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 13 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in the Angular framework (v12+ preferred).
- Strong mastery of TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with front-end testing tools, specifically Jasmine and Karma.
- Proven ability to translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-quality, functional code.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and enterprise collaboration tools.
