Job Summary:
The State of Michigan is seeking a Software Solution Architect with expertise in Rhapsody Development to support and implement a methodology for tracking message transmissions within the MDHHS Health Services ESB. This role is crucial for enhancing interfaces, supporting various systems connecting to the Data Hub, and improving automated processes, business processes, data integrity, SEM/SUITE compliance, and application security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a methodology for the MDHHS Health Services ESB to track message transmissions.
- Support and enhance interfaces for systems connecting to the Data Hub.
- Work under the direction of DTMB Customer Services, MDHHS, and DTMB cross-matrix teams.
- Provide application oversight to business analysts and other teams integrating with the Health Enterprise Service Bus (HESB).
- Participate in assignments for enhancement, integration, maintenance, and implementation of projects.
- Develop solutions for new use cases and create interfaces based on business requirements and specifications.
- Create technical requirements and system designs.
- Develop custom filters using Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK).
- Create mappers and mapper definitions using EDI message designer.
- Write JavaScript code within Rhapsody using JavaScript(v1) and JavaScript(v2) filters.
- Develop API calls for SOAP, REST, and web service calls.
- Perform data format translations from HL7v2, HL7 V3, FHIR, CCDA, XML, JSON, and flat files.
- Work on CDA mapping and conversions.
- Prepare code review SUITE SDLC documents.
- Develop database connections for MSSQL or Oracle databases.
- Develop TCP, HTTP, LLP, and OAUTH connections as per standards.
- Responsible for overall system design and code/configuration.
Required Technical and Healthcare IT Skills:
- JavaScript programming
- SQL
- XML
- HL7 version 2.x messaging
- HL7 FHIR
- CDA standards and related document types
- Healthcare vocabularies (e.g., LOINC, SNOMED, RxNorm)
- Health Information Exchange (HIE) technology
- Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE)
- Implementing solutions based on Implementation Guides
Desired Rhapsody Skills:
- Experience with the latest Health Rhapsody Integration Engine (7.x).
- Experience using Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK) to create custom filters, mappers, etc.
- Experience with custom message payload translation (e.g., JSON, XML, HL7 to proprietary/legacy format).
- Experience using web services (SOAP, REST, OAUTH, TCP-connections, LLP, etc.).
- Experience using transport encryption/security (TLS, mutual authorization via certificates, etc.).
- Rhapsody Certification is preferred.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid Work Schedule (Non-Negotiable): This position is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in the office. There is no remote-only option. Local candidates and non-local candidates willing to relocate at their own expense are accepted.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year (Estimated)
