Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled RPA Automation Engineer with expertise in AWS and Python to design, develop, and maintain Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots. This role involves building robust Python scripts, integrating with RESTful APIs, and deploying/monitoring bots in a cloud environment. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into automation solutions and ensure the smooth operation of RPA processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain RPA bots using Robocorp (Robot/Python Framework, RPA Framework libraries, RPA Lab/Cloud).
  • Build robust Python scripts and components to support bot logic, data transformations, and integrations.
  • Integrate with RESTful APIs and web services for data exchange, authentication, and workflow orchestration.
  • Deploy, schedule, and monitor bots in Robocorp Control Room; implement logging, alerting, and retry strategies.
  • Work with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch) to host components, manage credentials, and monitor workloads.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, map processes, and translate them into automation solutions.
  • Write unit/integration tests, documentation, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
  • Contribute to the standardization of RPA best practices, reusable components, and coding conventions.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in RPA development and automation.
  • Proficiency in Robocorp framework and Python.
  • Experience with AWS services for cloud-based automation.
  • Strong understanding of API integrations and web services.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience in the banking or finance industry is a plus.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Detroit, MI
