Role Overview: S/4HANA ABAP and Fiori Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior S/4 ABAP and Fiori Developer with a specialized focus on Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This role is critical for the design, configuration, and implementation of complex warehouse processes within an S/4HANA environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing Inbound, Outbound, Internal, Slotting, and Rearrangement processes, ensuring that the digital core of the warehouse operates at peak efficiency.
Technical Requirements and Core Competencies
- ABAP Cloud & Clean Core: You will be expected to adhere to the ‘Clean Core’ philosophy, utilizing released APIs, BAdIs, and in-app extensibility tools. This approach is vital for ensuring that the SAP standard code remains unmodified, facilitating seamless future upgrades and maintaining system integrity.
- Core Data Services (CDS) Views: Expertise in CDS views is mandatory. You will leverage these for advanced data modeling and ‘code pushdown’ to the HANA database, which is essential for achieving real-time data access and high-performance analytics.
- RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP): As the modern standard for S/4HANA development, you will use RAP to build robust OData services, Fiori applications, and scalable APIs.
- Fiori Elements & UI5: You will utilize Fiori Elements (List Reports, Overview Pages, Object Pages) to generate metadata-driven UIs, significantly reducing development cycles while maintaining a consistent user experience.
- Performance Optimization: Deep knowledge of HANA-specific optimizations, such as avoiding nested SELECT statements and utilizing inline declarations, is required to fully exploit the speed of the SAP HANA database.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will not only develop code but also serve as a technical architect for EWM solutions. You will expose CDS views and RAP models via OData for consumption by Fiori applications, including the ‘My Inbox’ app for workflow approvals and the ‘Manage Purchase Orders’ app for real-time procurement. Furthermore, you will implement Embedded Analytics to provide stakeholders with real-time reporting directly within their operational dashboards. This position requires an active or in-active Secret clearance, as you will be working on sensitive projects that demand the highest level of data security and professional integrity. Preferred candidates will be located on the East Coast to facilitate collaboration during standard business hours, although the role offers remote flexibility.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
