Role Overview: Salesforce Administrator

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Salesforce Administrator to join our dynamic team in Arlington, VA. This is a long-term contract position requiring an onsite presence from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing our Salesforce platform, ensuring it remains a robust tool for our data-driven organizational culture. As a Salesforce Administrator, you will be the primary point of contact for user support, system enhancements, and data integrity. You will work closely with various departments, including Finance, Marketing, and Operations, to understand their unique requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about CRM technology and eager to contribute to a high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage all aspects of user administration, including the creation and maintenance of user profiles, roles, permissions, and sharing rules to ensure platform security and data integrity.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex workflows, validation rules, and automation processes using Salesforce Flow and other declarative tools to streamline business operations.
  • Lead Salesforce implementation projects, overseeing data migration activities, system integrations with third-party applications, and the rollout of new features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver customized reporting and dashboard solutions that provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement team to identify opportunities for platform enhancements and drive the adoption of best practices across the organization.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive user training programs and documentation to empower staff and ensure the effective use of Salesforce tools.
  • Monitor system performance and perform regular audits to identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring the platform remains a reliable source of truth.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and industry trends, recommending new features and functionalities that can add value to the business.

Technical Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Salesforce Administrator Certification (e.g., Salesforce-201 or Salesforce-211).
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working as a Salesforce Administrator in a corporate or business environment.
  • Proven proficiency in Salesforce configuration, including the creation of calculated fields, complex data joins, parameters, and interactive dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce APIs and experience managing integrations with external systems (e.g., ERP, Marketing Automation tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide user-centric solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data migration tools (e.g., Data Loader) and a solid understanding of relational database concepts.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support to internal users.
