Role Overview

As a Senior Salesforce Architect and Developer, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation for a major financial services client. This remote position is specifically designed for a high-level technical leader who possesses a deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and has a proven track record of delivering complex, enterprise-grade solutions. A unique and mandatory requirement for this role is a professional history that includes working at Capital One within the last five years (since 2020), ensuring that the candidate is familiar with the specific operational standards and technical environments of top-tier financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architectural Design: Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of Salesforce architectures across multiple clouds, including Data Cloud, Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
  • Technical Strategy: Develop comprehensive technical designs, proofs of concept (POCs), and solution frameworks that validate architectural decisions and ensure scalable, high-quality delivery across the enterprise.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a primary liaison between business units and technology teams to align Salesforce solutions with strategic business objectives, rigorous security standards, and performance best practices.
  • Integration Management: Oversee complex integration architectures utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, SSO, and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft and AWS services to ensure seamless data connectivity.
  • Development Oversight: Guide and mentor development teams on coding best practices in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce. Manage code quality and deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools like Copado, Gearset, or Git.
  • Governance: Participate in and lead Technical Review Board (TRB) meetings to review, approve, and validate design patterns and development approaches.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Salesforce development, technical design, and enterprise-level architecture.
  • Cloud Expertise: Deep, hands-on expertise across multiple Salesforce Clouds, with a specific focus on Data Cloud and Financial Services Cloud.
  • Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, API integrations, data modeling, and enterprise middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, AWS).
  • Mandatory Experience: Verified experience working at Capital One since 2020 is a non-negotiable requirement.
  • Certification: Must hold a current Certified Salesforce Administrator Certification.
