Role Overview
Byteware Inc. is currently seeking a seasoned and highly proficient Salesforce Developer for a critical, long-term contract engagement located in Austin, Texas. This position is designed for a senior-level professional who possesses a deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and can navigate complex technical landscapes. This is a hybrid role, requiring the candidate to be physically located in the Austin, Texas area to facilitate on-site collaboration while maintaining the flexibility of remote work. As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will be the technical cornerstone for our client’s Salesforce initiatives, driving innovation and ensuring the platform’s architecture is robust, secure, and high-performing.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Architect and develop sophisticated solutions on the Force.com platform, leveraging Apex programming, Visualforce pages, and modern Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, utilizing a mix of custom code (Triggers, Aura) and declarative configuration tools like Salesforce Flows and Workflow Rules.
- Oversee the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring that coding standards are met, change control processes are followed, and version management is strictly maintained.
- Lead high-stakes technical transitions, including the migration from Salesforce Classic to Lightning, ensuring zero downtime and data integrity.
- Execute complex data migrations and system integrations, connecting Salesforce with a variety of third-party applications and internal on-premises systems.
- Implement secure authentication protocols, specifically oAuth, to facilitate seamless and safe integrations with external cloud-based services.
- Develop and optimize REST and SOAP-based web services, utilizing JSON and XML for efficient data exchange.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement custom Reports and Dashboards that provide real-time visibility into business performance.
- Actively participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage the CI/CD pipeline using DevOps tools such as Flosum and Git to streamline the deployment process and reduce environment drift.
Required Technical Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of dedicated experience in Salesforce development is mandatory. This includes extensive work with Apex, Visualforce, and Aura Components.
- 8+ years of experience in managing the full SDLC, with a focus on architecture assessment and the delivery of high-performance technical solutions.
- 8+ years of experience in end-to-end technical program management within Salesforce, including 3rd party app integration and custom platform development.
- 8+ years of proficiency in web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and various API protocols.
- At least 4 years of experience with DevOps practices, specifically CI/CD pipelines and tools like Flosum or Git, is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in creating advanced Salesforce Reports and Dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- 2+ years of experience working within an Agile Software Development environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $198,000 per year (Estimated)
