Role Overview
As a Salesforce QA / Test Lead in the 2026 landscape, you will be at the forefront of ensuring quality for mission-critical Salesforce implementations within the electric utility sector. This role is based in San Francisco, CA, and requires strict alignment with the PST time zone to facilitate real-time collaboration with engineering and business teams. You will lead the end-to-end testing lifecycle, from initial requirement analysis to final sign-off, ensuring that every deployment meets the high standards of reliability and performance required by the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases for Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom modules.
- Lead and mentor a dedicated testing team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and peer reviews.
- Execute various testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing, to validate complex business workflows.
- Perform rigorous validation of APIs, microservices, and map layers using both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Manage the defect lifecycle using JIRA and HP ALM, conducting root cause analysis and triaging issues to ensure timely resolution by development teams.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure that user requirements are fully testable and that the final product aligns with business expectations.
- Provide detailed test progress reports and quality metrics to project leadership, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to test automation initiatives, specifically focusing on API testing and repetitive validation tasks using tools like Tosca.
Technical Requirements
- Proven experience in Salesforce testing with a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and standard/custom objects.
- Strong proficiency in testing tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, and Quality Center (QC).
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools, with a specific preference for Tosca exposure.
- Solid understanding of the electric utility domain and its specific regulatory and operational requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively within the PST time zone and manage offshore testing units.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
