Role Overview:

The Salesforce Solution Architect is a pivotal role responsible for designing, delivering, and guiding Salesforce solutions that are in alignment with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards. This position acts as a crucial bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that Salesforce implementations are scalable, secure, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Architecture: Design comprehensive end-to-end Salesforce solutions, with a focus on Energy and Utility Cloud, Experience Cloud, and integrations with external systems. Define system architecture, data models, and integration patterns adhering to best practices. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and comply with Salesforce and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and executives to gather and understand requirements. Translate complex business needs into clear technical specifications, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.
  • Integration & Technical Leadership: Design and oversee the integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems, including databases and APIs. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers on Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, Flows, and other Salesforce technologies. Establish governance for development, release management, and environment strategy.
  • Solution Governance & Best Practices: Define and enforce architecture standards, coding guidelines, and security policies for all Salesforce implementations. Conduct thorough design and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices. Evaluate and recommend appropriate Salesforce products, applications, and third-party tools to meet specific business requirements.
  • Performance, Security, and Scalability: Ensure all designed solutions are optimized for performance, reliability, and compliance. Design and implement role-based access, data security, and sharing rules within the Salesforce platform.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain up-to-date architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications. Mentor developers, administrators, and junior architects on Salesforce best practices and advanced concepts.
  • Project Oversight: Support project planning, estimation, and risk assessment activities. Actively participate in the solution delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment phases.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Extensive Salesforce platform expertise, including Energy & Utility Cloud and Experience Cloud. Strong command of Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, Flows, REST/SOAP APIs. Proficiency in integration patterns using middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica), ETL tools, and web services. Deep understanding of data modeling, architecture design, and governance principles. Experience with CI/CD, version control, and release management. Knowledge of Salesforce best practices, security, compliance, and performance optimization.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Proven leadership and mentoring abilities. Capacity to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities effectively.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect, Salesforce Integration Architecture Designer, Salesforce Platform Developer I/II.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of overall Salesforce experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a solution architecture or technical leadership capacity.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce in complex, enterprise-level environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering integrated Salesforce solutions that align with business strategy.
  • Strategic thinking with an enterprise-wide perspective.
  • Ability to manage high-complexity projects involving multiple integrations.
  • Customer-focused mindset, ensuring Salesforce solutions deliver tangible business value.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic cloud environment.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $100 per year (Estimated)
