Job Description: SAP ABAP Developer for HANA
We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in HANA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ABAP programming, specifically for HANA environments, including S4 HANA and ECC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement solutions using SAP ABAP for HANA and non-HANA systems.
- Work with Core Data Services (CDS) views, both consuming and creating them within ABAP programs.
- Perform Data Modeling in HANA Studio and implement Code Push Down Methodologies.
- Develop and maintain applications using SAP UI5 and Fiori, with a strong understanding of OData services.
- Work independently or as part of a team on various project types including Implementation, Rollout, Support, and Upgrade Projects.
- Responsible for end-to-end deliverables, ensuring successful project completion.
- Understand functional requirements from functional teams or customers, validate them for the SAP system, and work accordingly on new or existing developments.
- Handle customer communications and management reporting effectively.
- Provide general technical support for end-users.
- Execute common SAP and HANA standard daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven work experience with ABAP Cloud.
- Experience with SAP ECC along with S4 HANA.
- Proficiency in Database-Independent Programming with Open SQL, ABAP managed database procedures, database level operations, Views, and ABAP Workbench.
- Experience working with Unified Data Modeling and Definition with Core Data Services and Consuming CDS Views in ABAP Programs.
- Experience working with Simplified Control with ABAP-Managed Database Procedures.
- Good knowledge of SAP HANA Platform, Code-to-Data paradigm, Eclipse platform, OData, and SAPUI5.
- Expertise in HANA modeling techniques including CDS views usage, AMDP, calculation views, analytic views, attribute views, decision tables, filtering concepts, and CE functions.
- Good knowledge of HANA Studio usage.
- Experience performing standard HANA administration tasks such as SLT, SQL, Procedures, Modeling, and Schemas.
- Knowledge on UI5 based applications running on HANA platform (Development Experience required).
- Knowledge on FIORI (Development experience is a must, not just knowledge).
Additional Information:
- This is a contract position.
- The role requires the candidate to work independently or with a team.
- Strong understanding of functional requirements and ability to translate them into technical solutions.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year
