Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP Gateway and OData Services to support SAP S4HANA and ECC-based integrations and UI5/Fiori applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting OData services and backend ABAP objects to enable seamless SAP and non-SAP integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance SAP ABAP programs, including Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, and Conversions.
  • Develop and maintain OData services using SAP Gateway (SEGW).
  • Implement and support REST-based integrations between SAP and external systems.
  • Collaborate with UI5/Fiori developers to enable and optimize backend services.
  • Handle Gateway service registration, activation, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform debugging, performance tuning, and issue resolution across ABAP and Gateway layers.
  • Ensure secure and efficient data access using authorization objects and best practices.
  • Support testing activities, including unit testing and defect fixes.
  • Work closely with functional and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP (ABAP OO preferred).
  • Proven experience with SAP Gateway and OData Service development.
  • Good understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, XML, and SAP integration concepts.
  • Experience working with S4HANA or ECC systems.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite, fast-paced environment.

Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 backend enablement.
  • Knowledge of CDS Views and AMDP.
  • Experience with performance optimization and SAP security concepts.
  • Prior experience working in airline or large enterprise environments (preferred).
