Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated SAP BTP – CAPM Consultant to join our onsite team in Raritan, NJ. This role is critical for the development and maintenance of enterprise-grade applications within the SAP Business Technology Platform. The successful candidate will leverage the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM) to build scalable, resilient, and secure applications that integrate seamlessly with existing SAP and third-party ecosystems. This is a contract/C2C engagement requiring a high level of technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using SAP BTP-CAPM.
- Have strong hands-on experience in SAP Build Process Automation using low code/no code capabilities.
- Resolving Incidents within SLA.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.
- Integrate SAP systems with third-party applications using RESTful APIs and OData services.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Provide technical documentation and support for deployed solutions.
Technical Deep Dive
The SAP BTP – CAPM Consultant must have a thorough understanding of Node.js or Java within the CAP framework. You will be responsible for defining CDS (Core Data Services) models, creating service definitions, and implementing custom logic to meet specific business needs. A significant part of the role involves utilizing SAP Build Process Automation to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention. Experience with SAP HANA Cloud is essential, as you will be managing data persistence and optimizing database queries for high-performance applications. Furthermore, you will be expected to navigate the SAP BTP Cockpit, managing subaccounts, destinations, and connectivity services to ensure smooth integration across the landscape.
Collaboration and Quality Assurance
Working onsite in Raritan, you will engage directly with cross-functional teams to ensure that technical solutions align with broader business objectives. You will be expected to participate in Agile ceremonies, providing updates on development progress and identifying potential roadblocks early in the lifecycle. Quality assurance is a top priority; therefore, you will implement comprehensive unit tests and participate in rigorous peer code reviews. Your ability to document technical architectures and provide clear support instructions will be vital for the long-term maintainability of the solutions you deliver. Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
