Job Title: SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Administrator

We are seeking an experienced SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.x and SAP BODS environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of BO server architecture, security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Administration: Install, configure, and upgrade SAP BusinessObjects (BI 4.x) and SAP BODS environments. Administer CMC, manage users, groups, roles, and access levels. Perform system health checks, monitoring, and performance tuning. Manage BO/DS services.
  • Security & Access Management: Manage authentication (AD, Enterprise). Provision users and map AD groups to BO roles. Ensure role-based access and compliance with security standards.
  • Performance & Troubleshooting: Monitor BO performance and troubleshoot issues related to WebI, scheduling, and report execution. Perform weekend maintenance activities including cache cleanup, server restarts, and rolling restarts as needed. Analyze logs and work with SAP support to resolve incidents.
  • Scheduling & Publishing: Manage report scheduling, and bursting (InfoBurst or native BO). Troubleshoot failed schedules and performance issues. Monitor job queues and system capacity.
  • Change & Incident Management: Support incidents, service requests, and problem management. Participate in change management (CRs, RITMs) and production deployments. Coordinate with Basis, DB, OS, Network, and WAF teams. Perform routine maintenance activities (patching support, upgrades, DR testing). Support QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation. Ensure platform compliance with audit and security requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.x.
  • Hands-on experience with BO server and BODS Server architecture and services.
  • Knowledge of authentication methods (AD).
  • Experience with scheduling, publications, and report bursting.
  • Working knowledge of Windows.
  • Basic understanding of databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 3-8 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects Administration.

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The role is onsite in Irving, TX.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year
