Role: SAP Commerce / Hybris Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Commerce/Hybris Architect to lead the architecture definition for a headless CMS-driven ecosystem. This role is crucial for supporting web storefronts and native mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and efficient content delivery strategy across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture definition for a headless CMS-driven ecosystem supporting web storefronts and native mobile applications.
  • Define the content model and content delivery strategy across channels, encompassing authoring, localization, personalization, and reuse.
  • Determine the optimal frontend architecture, considering full headless vs. hybrid approaches, SSR/static rendering, and performance/SEO implications.
  • Define the integration approach between the CMS and other systems, including SAP Commerce (OCC APIs), Firebase/mobile app layer, and Martech tools (Tealium, Optimizely, Coveo).
  • Evaluate and recommend the need and scope of a BFF layer, assessing its value versus unnecessary complexity.
  • Advise on API orchestration versus direct integrations.
  • Develop a phased migration strategy, including coexistence of legacy and new experiences and rollout sequencing across brands/domains.
  • Provide Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and operational model guidance, including build vs. run costs and team structure/skill implications.
  • Support CMS selection processes, ensuring architectural alignment during the RFP process.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP Commerce/Hybris Architecture.
  • Proven experience in defining and implementing headless CMS solutions.
  • Strong understanding of content modeling and content delivery strategies.
  • Expertise in frontend architecture, including SSR, static rendering, performance, and SEO.
  • Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (OCC APIs) and Martech tools.
  • Experience in developing migration strategies and TCO analysis.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
