Position Overview
Quantum World Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SAP Costing Functional Analyst (ECC) Consultant specializing in SAP ECC Controlling (CO). This is a hybrid contract position based in the vibrant tech hub of Austin, Texas. As we look toward the fiscal landscape of 2026, the demand for precise financial data and cost management within enterprise systems has never been higher. This role is designed for a professional who possesses a deep understanding of the SAP ECC FI/CO landscape and can navigate the complexities of product costing and profitability analysis with ease.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Configure, support, and enhance SAP ECC Controlling (CO) modules, with a specific focus on Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM-CCA) and Internal Orders (CO-OM-OPA).
- Lead the implementation and management of Product Costing (CO-PC), including Material Costing and Cost Object Controlling, to ensure accurate valuation of goods and services.
- Execute Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) using both costing-based and account-based methodologies to provide actionable insights into business performance.
- Manage standard and actual costing processes, including the execution of cost estimates, overhead calculations, and detailed variance analysis.
- Ensure seamless FICO integration and validate cost flows across the enterprise to maintain data integrity.
- Support critical financial periods, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities specifically related to costing and controlling functions.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into robust functional designs.
- Identify existing process gaps and recommend SAP ECC best-practice improvements to streamline financial operations.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Work in tandem with ABAP and technical teams to develop custom reports, enhancements, and interfaces (RICEFW objects).
- Provide comprehensive production support, including root cause analysis and resolution of complex system issues.
- Prepare and execute unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed functional documentation, process maps, and configuration guides.
- Deliver end-user training and post-deployment support to ensure smooth adoption of system changes.
Required Technical Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ECC FI/CO, with a heavy emphasis on the Controlling (CO) sub-modules.
- Expert-level knowledge of Product Costing (Standard and Actual Costing) and its integration with Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes.
- Proven track record of supporting financial close processes in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of FICO integration points with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), and SD (Sales and Distribution).
- Excellent analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex financial data discrepancies.
- Superior communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of bridging the gap between technical teams and business leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional SAP FI/CO certification is highly desirable.
- Experience within the Manufacturing, High-Tech, or Supply Chain industries, particularly in the Austin, TX market.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance concepts, including the Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and Account-Based CO-PA.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori financial applications and the modern SAP user experience.
- Prior experience participating in ECC to S/4HANA migration or readiness assessment projects.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
