Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SAP EAM Trainer to lead the educational transition for our enterprise asset management teams in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This hybrid role is critical for ensuring that our workforce is proficient in the latest SAP S/4HANA technologies, specifically moving from legacy SAP Work Manager to the modern SAP Asset Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical SAP knowledge and exceptional instructional design skills, capable of translating complex system configurations into digestible, role-based learning paths. You will be the primary point of contact for end-user adoption, ensuring that technicians and supervisors are fully equipped to utilize the mobile-first Fiori experience in their daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver transition training for SAP Work Manager users moving to SAP Asset Manager within SAP S/4HANA EAM.
  • Create a Work Manager to Asset Manager task crosswalk covering notifications, work orders, confirmations, and time tracking.
  • Build comprehensive training materials including job aids, PPTs, and hands-on exercises reflecting the final configured process.
  • Train end users on the mobile-first experience: navigation, search, lists, filters, and work queues in Asset Manager.
  • Cover online/offline behavior in detail, including sync cadence, conflict handling, and data loss prevention.
  • Develop role-based learning paths for technicians, supervisors, planners, and dispatchers.
  • Build hands-on scenarios matching real field work such as capturing readings, recording malfunction codes, and adding photos.
  • Produce updated training assets: facilitator guides, participant guides, simulations, and quick reference cards.
  • Coordinate with functional, mobility, and security teams to align training with system configuration and authorizations.
  • Run lab environments and practical assessments to confirm users can troubleshoot common issues like sync failures.
  • Support go-live with train-the-trainer sessions, office hours, and hypercare readiness materials.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience delivering training in SAP S/4HANA projects with a clear understanding of Fiori.
  • Specific experience with SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and mobile solutions.
  • Ability to create high-quality instructional materials and job aids.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Willingness to travel to Harrisburg, PA (approximately 25% of the time).

Environment and Impact

In the 2026 landscape, SAP S/4HANA has become the standard for enterprise efficiency, and the transition to mobile-first solutions like SAP Asset Manager is a top priority. This role requires a unique individual who can understand the technical nuances of Fiori apps and translate them into practical, everyday language for field staff. Based in Harrisburg, PA, you will be at the heart of our regional operations, traveling to various sites to provide hands-on guidance. Your work will directly impact the accuracy of our asset data and the efficiency of our maintenance workflows. Beyond just delivering training, you will be an advocate for the user, providing feedback to the configuration team to ensure the system is as intuitive as possible.
