Job Description: SAP EHS Consultant
We are seeking an experienced SAP EHS Consultant to join our client’s team. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in the office. The consultant will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and support of the SAP EHS module, with a strong focus on Product Safety and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide functional and configuration expertise in SAP EHS, specifically within the Product Safety module.
- Manage and configure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for both vendors and materials.
- Oversee Global Label Management (GLM) processes.
- Configure and manage Dangerous Goods Management functionalities.
- Implement and maintain WWI (Windows Workflow Interface) for EHS processes.
- Configure Substance Volume Tracking to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage quarterly EHS Regulatory Content (ERC) updates.
- Integrate SAP EHS with third-party EH&S/Manufacturing software systems (e.g., Visium KMS, ATR Smart Procedures, Cority).
- Participate in all phases of system implementation: analysis, design, blueprinting, configuration, documentation, testing, training, and post-go-live support.
- Develop and maintain reports using PowerBI and support report modeling.
- Possess a strong understanding of systems integration, data manipulation, data analysis, and SAP data migration methodologies.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical and functional problems.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to various audiences, including customers, peers, and leadership.
- Apply practical project management skills to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional and multi-cultural team environments.
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience with the integration, configuration, development, and deployment of SAP-based systems and relevant third-party software.
- Working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance and SAP Materials Management, including their integration.
- Familiarity with reliability concepts such as Asset Strategy, Mechanical Integrity, and Asset Health.
- Exposure to reliability systems like GE APM (Meridium) and their integrations with SAP and Data Historians.
- Working knowledge of SAP Project Systems and related applications.
- Experience in project execution using Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory integration.
- Knowledge of inventory, procurement, plant maintenance, turnaround, reliability, and operations processes, particularly in the petrochemical or refinery industry.
- Working knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on functional and configuration experience in Product Safety module within SAP EHS.
- Proven experience with Safety Data Sheets (SDS Vendor and Material), Global Label Management (GLM), Dangerous Goods Management, WWI, Substance Volume Tracking, and quarterly EHS Regulatory Content (ERC).
- 5+ years of experience working with any 3rd party EH&S/Manufacturing software systems.
- Experience in all phases of systems implementation.
- Experience with PowerBI and report modelling.
- Strong understanding of systems integration, data manipulation, data analysis, and SAP data migration methods.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Practical project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Special Requirements
Hybrid work model (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in Office)
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
Location: Woodlands, TX
