Job Overview: Senior SAP ERP SD Consultant
Savitech is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior SAP ERP SD Consultant to join our team in Addison, IL. This role is critical for a professional with extensive expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and SCM Sales Order Management. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes within SAP, coupled with a proven track record of designing, configuring, and implementing robust SAP solutions. This position requires a proactive individual who can analyze complex business requirements, translate them into effective functional and technical solutions, and ensure successful project delivery from conception to go-live and ongoing support. You will be instrumental in optimizing our clients’ sales and distribution processes, enhancing system functionality, and providing expert guidance to business users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, ensuring alignment with business needs from order creation through to final payment.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes, gather comprehensive requirements from various stakeholders and business groups, and effectively translate these into precise functional and technical solutions within the SAP environment.
- Develop detailed functional specifications for a wide range of SAP objects, including custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflows, and forms (RICEF objects).
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive functional specifications and all necessary project documentation.
- Possess a robust ability to analyze complex issues, accurately identify root causes, and recommend highly effective and sustainable solutions.
- Exhibit a strong capability to understand overarching business goals and strategies, and to align SAP solutions to support and achieve these objectives.
- Design and create comprehensive test scenarios, and actively support various testing phases, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring a smooth and successful go-live.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues and defects specifically within the SAP OTC module, minimizing business disruption.
- Provide expert user training, ongoing support, and comprehensive guidance to business users on SAP functionality, best practices, and new features.
- Collaborate effectively with technical teams (ABAP developers, Basis administrators) to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of SAP solutions.
- Participate in project planning, status meetings, and contribute to overall project success.
- Stay current with the latest SAP technologies, functionalities, and industry best practices, particularly within the SD and SCM domains.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for SAP processes and systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of extensive experience as an SAP consultant, with a strong focus on SAP ERP Sales and Distribution (SD) module.
- Demonstrated expertise in SCM Sales Order Management processes and configurations.
- Proven track record of successful full lifecycle SAP implementations and support projects.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP SD functionalities, including sales order processing, pricing, availability check, shipping, billing, credit management, and foreign trade.
- Experience with integration points between SD and other SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, PP, and WM.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including business process designs, functional specifications, and test plans.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
