Role Overview: Senior SAP EWM Consultant
Delta System & Software, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP EWM Consultant for a critical onsite engagement in Normal, Illinois. This role is specifically tailored for a professional with over 10 years of deep technical and functional expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management, particularly within the high-stakes Automotive industry. The successful candidate will lead configuration efforts and drive complex warehouse transformations using the latest SAP technologies.
Core Technical Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end configuration of SAP EWM modules, ensuring alignment with automotive supply chain requirements.
- Design and implement robust RF Framework solutions to optimize mobile data entry and warehouse floor operations.
- Mastery of Outbound processes, including complex Warehouse Order Creation Rules (WOCR), Process-Oriented Storage Control (POSC), and Layout-Oriented Storage Control (LOSC).
- Manage intricate Handling Unit (HU) Management setups to facilitate seamless tracking and movement of goods.
- Architect warehouse structures, including storage types, sections, and bins, while overseeing Wave Management and Post Processing Framework (PPF) actions.
Advanced Integration and Implementation
- Lead S/4HANA EWM integration projects, focusing on Goods Issue (GI), Goods Receipt (GR), Yard Management, and Resource Management.
- Implement Value-Added Services (VAS) to enhance warehouse productivity and meet specific customer demands.
- Oversee third-party integrations involving RF/RFID technologies and external automated systems.
- Drive cutover activities and data migration strategies to ensure zero-downtime transitions during go-live phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EWM processes are synchronized with broader ERP modules.
Qualifications and Industry Expertise
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on SAP EWM experience is mandatory.
- Proven track record in the Automotive sector, understanding the unique challenges of just-in-time (JIT) and just-in-sequence (JIS) logistics.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience with full lifecycle implementations from blueprinting to post-production support.
Special Requirements
Automotive industry background required. Onsite role in Normal, IL.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
