Role Overview: SAP EWM Data Migration Specialist
iTech US is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Data Migration Specialist to join our team for a critical onsite project in Raritan, New Jersey. This role is designed for a senior professional with over 10 years of experience who can lead end-to-end data migration activities for a large-scale SAP EWM implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of data migration, from initial analysis and strategy development to the final execution and validation of data loads into the SAP environment.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Duties
- Lead the design and development of the data migration strategy, methodology, and detailed migration plan specifically tailored for SAP EWM environments.
- Utilize SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) to design and build complex ETL jobs for the extraction, transformation, and loading of EWM-related data objects.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis, cleansing, and validation across legacy systems to ensure data integrity and compliance with project standards.
- Collaborate closely with functional, technical, and business teams to define data mapping rules and transformation logic for complex warehouse data structures.
- Identify and mitigate data migration risks and dependencies, ensuring a smooth transition during mock loads and final cutover activities.
- Execute production migration using a variety of tools including BODS, LTMC (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit), LTMOM, and custom load programs.
- Maintain rigorous documentation including mapping documents, transformation rules, and test evidence to meet audit and governance requirements.
- Optimize BODS job performance and implement robust error handling and recovery procedures.
Qualifications and Professional Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in SAP Data Migration with a focus on SAP EWM and BODS.
- Proven track record of successful global ERP implementations, preferably within multi-national and multi-cultural environments.
- Deep technical knowledge of SAP EWM data objects and structures.
- Strong proficiency in SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) for complex ETL development.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration tools such as LTMC and LTMOM is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with business SMEs and project leadership.
- Knowledge of SAP best practices and the ability to leverage assets/accelerators for efficient delivery.

This is a contract role based onsite in Raritan, NJ. Candidates must be prepared to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and contribute to thought leadership within the data migration domain. The project offers the opportunity to work on high-visibility initiatives for a leading global organization, utilizing the latest SAP technologies and methodologies.
Special Requirements
Pre-screening requirement: Must have hands-on BODS experience. Onsite requirement in Raritan, NJ.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
